Pan American Championship

The Pan American Championship was held from 27 to 30 August at the Coliseum Sibate Xiua the Municipality of Cundinamarca, (Colombia). 9 countries: Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Ecuador Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Cuba and the local Colombia with more than 200 athletes were present in this tournament. This is one major qualifying event to the 2017 World Games in Poland.

The President of the International Federation of Jujitsu Mr. Panagiotis Theodoropoulos was present at the Pan American Championships supporting the host country and thus strengthening the value of this "Pan-American". Also Mr. Anestis Poulikidis, Event Manager of the International Ju-Jitsu Federation and President of the Greek Federation jujitsu supported the event.
The Pan American Ju-Jitsu Union sent as a representative of Mr. Miguel Percoco Argentina and several presidents of the national associations of the continent were present.

The tally by gold medals, gave the victory to the team of Colombia with 10 golden medals, second with 7 golds Mexico and Cuba in third place with 5 gold medals.

The Colombian Federation of Jujitsu appreciates the constant support and support from National Coldeportes, the Colombian Olympic Committee, Indeportes Cundinamarca, Mayor Sibate, Jujitsu International Federation and Pan American Union of Jujitsu.

The Pan American Union of Jujitsu conducted a referee course under coordination of the Colombian Judge Javier Muñoz Carrillo, World Referee B.
